Amazon to DATEV: prepare your monthly accounting data
Bring Amazon VAT and settlement data into a monthly DATEV workflow. Review sales, refunds and settlement evidence before handing files to your tax firm.
Know what the connection supplies
VAT transaction reports and settlement events serve different purposes. Review both for the selected month rather than treating the payout as the sales total.
Connect the Amazon seller account and confirm which marketplaces and reports are available. Historical coverage depends on the reports Amazon supplies for your account.
From connection to export
- 01
Connect the source
Authorize the relevant account in your company workspace. Check the permissions and the available history.
- 02
Review the month
Synchronize the chosen month. Check source coverage and accounting settings with your bookkeeper.
- 03
Prepare the DATEV handoff
Download the available booking batches for your month and pass them to your tax firm.
TaxRouter prepares downloadable DATEV booking batches. Your tax firm handles their import, bookkeeping review and agreed tax work.
Why the payout is not your revenue
€1,000 − €100 − €30 = €870. Keep the sales, refund and fee evidence separate; the net movement alone cannot explain your bookkeeping. A bank payout may fall in a different period.
Illustrative EUR example, not customer data or a DATEV import file. It assumes no opening balance, reserves, currency conversion or other adjustments.

Before you start
Do I only need the settlement report?
No. A settlement explains payment movements; sales and VAT evidence are separate inputs. Review the required reports together.
Can I export an earlier month?
Select the month and check the available reports. Do not assume that every historical report or marketplace is accessible for every seller account.
Does TaxRouter submit my tax returns?
This workflow prepares accounting exports. Agree tax filings and advisory responsibilities separately with your tax firm.
Your next step
Need a specific marketplace, historical period or filing service? Check that scope before switching.
